Purpose
As a Technical & Process Engineer in Renewable energy, your primary responsibility is to optimize systems, processes, and technical operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the delivery of high-quality after sales support. Their role bridges technical expertise and operational improvement to support business objectives. A Technical and Process Engineer ensures operational excellence, drives innovation, and contributes to the sustainable growth of the business in both the retail and solar sectors.

Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Code B Driver’s license.
- Tertiary qualification, Degree, or Trade Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electrical and solar systems products and suppliers.
- 3-4 years’ experience in solar/electrical technical diagnosis environments.
- Understanding of low voltage (AC&DC electrical systems).
- Understanding of the topologies of inverters, batteries and solar panel technologies.
- High level of accuracy and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service & strong administration skills.
- Familiarity with the retail industry, including knowledge of market trends, key players, and competitive dynamics.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software.
- Strong numerical skills.

Key Result Areas
- Technical Service Centre (TSC) processes management.
- Manage the warrantee processes with suppliers.
- Relationship with suppliers to establish service centre partnerships and to ensure technical skills transfer.
- People management.
- Client and contractor management.
- Management of TSC stock (including spare parts and second hand stock).
- Provide technical advice to contractors/clients & internal sales staff.
- Site assessments and commissioning to support contractors and clients.
- Research & Development.
- Product Development and Engineering: Continuous study of new products quality and market trends.
- Income generation for TSC through sales, services, and installer trainings.
- Conduct technical trainings to contractors and internal sales staff.
