1. Main Function of the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Branch Manager in overseeing all operational areas, supervising personnel, fostering a positive work environment, driving sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient branch operations.

 

2. Key Performance Areas:

  • Support the Branch Manager in achieving profit, performance, and customer service goals.
  • Manage stock levels effectively and mitigate the impact of negative stock control.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling expenses within the allocated budget.
  • Oversee the administrative functions of the branch to align with company standards.
  • Coordinate communication with employees to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend and actively participate in periodic staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and all legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and welcoming environment for customers.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 with at least 3–5 years of applied experience.
  • A 3-year tertiary qualification in agriculture, commerce, or retail/wholesale (advantageous).
  • Comprehensive understanding of agricultural procedures and practices.
  • Proficiency in Agri SMART systems and strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of modern management techniques, operational rules, and production goals within the industry.
  • Namibian citizenship is required.
