Pre-Primary Teaching Assistant  Centurion

Arrow Academy is looking to hire a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Temporary Pre-Primary Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate should have a passion and patience for teaching children and excellent organisational skills.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Certificate in Childcare or ECD. 
  • At least a year of experience in an early childhood development environment.
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in written communication.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ClassDojo.
DUTIES
 
  • Provide support to the Grade RRR teacher.
  • Organise and distribute learning resources and set up workstations.
  • Assist with lessons and help the children participate in classroom activities.
  • Monitor behaviour and learner participation.
  • Assist learners who need extra support or have behavioural issues.
  • Organise and oversee recreational activities to enhance learners' physical, mental, and social development.
  • Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to help them master key concepts and to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Supervise learners during aftercare hours and holiday club.
  • Assist children during pick up & drop off times.
