The ideal candidates will be young energetic qualified N2 students with a passion to become an artisan. The successful candidates will receive apprentice training from the best in the industry and must be able to complete the apprenticeship within three years.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
• Participate in the formal training plan for apprenticeships; make reasonable progress to achieve the competencies in this regard; and attend necessary training or assessments related hereto
• Keep the training record (logbook) in possession, and produce it to the employer and/or training organisation when requested
• Maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices under guidance of qualified Artisans/Technicians
• Obey all workplace health and safety, and code of conduct workplace rules
• The successful candidate will be required to enter a formal learnership agreement with the company and AgriSETA
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Obtained Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and/or Science, or Technical Matric
• National Technical Certificate – N2 or higher in the relevant engineering discipline
• He/she must be ambitious and dedicated, making full use of the opportunities the industry has to offer
• Must be a team player
• High energy level and goal orientated
• Mental alertness, analytical and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to complete the apprenticeship within 36 months
