Role Purpose:

• To ensure sufficient stock availability as per production schedule

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeric level

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in a production environment, minimum of 3 months

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Basic numeracy
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Knowledge of production processes
• Shift work and overtime
• Knowledge of health and safety rules

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Ensure all resources are available in line with production requirement.
• Report any mechanical/electrical issues to the control Room/Supervisor that may affect the smooth running of the plant.
• Accurately record any data required for production analysis e.g. tipping logs.
• Respond to manual production bottlenecks e.g. clearing choked elevators.
• Conduct visual checks e.g. availability of raw material and report any deviation to the control room/supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with applicable work instructions and procedures.
• Adherence to Feed Safety Standards and Procedures.
• Adhere to Health, Safety Environmental Standards and Procedures.
• Perform any reasonable tasks as requested by Control Room / Supervisor.
• Perform daily stock-take duties.
