Key Responsibilities

• Transporting staff between farms
• Collecting goods and equipment from vendors to stores.
• Deliveries of spares, documents and goods to farms on time
• Communication and planning of deliveries and pick-ups to customers, service for maximum production results
• Confirmation of goods when collecting at the service provider
• Planned vehicle service
• Collection of Mortalities using the correct PPE
• Operating of the incinerator
• Safe transport of chemicals to farms
• Inspect that trailer is road safe before use
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and other Risk Management requirements and standards as per OHS Act, and COID Act.
• Road Safety Act.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12) Certificate
• Valid drivers’ licence, PDP will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience

• Knowledge of vehicles and high standards of driving skills, should have knowledge of Health and Safety, reporting of incidents, accidents, daily checking of vehicle before travelling
• Able to do simple arithmetic
• Able to speak, read and write in English
• Able to work flexible hours, be self-motivated and able to make decisions on his own at times
• Good communication and planning skills
• Customer relations 
• Good self-presentable
• Be able to operate the vehicle jacking system and change of tyres
• Drivers medical fit clearance e.g. night driving
