Role Purpose:

• To service, repair and ensure proper maintenance of Welding work, and also to attend to breakdowns with reference to welding repairs.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 and NTC 2 (Welding Trade Test).

 

Required Experience:

• Must have proven working knowledge/experience and some training on Argon and Arc Welding.
• 5 Years Relevant Experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, repairs and maintenance of welding work.
• Attending to breakdowns, with reference to welding repairs.
• Welding equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Execute planned maintenance program.
• Cover shift as per the business requirements.
• Maintain good house keeping, in line with the OHSA requirements.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as per operational requirements.
• Punctuality and attendance reliability.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Effective teamwork and self-management.
• Ability to do fabrications and welding.
• Knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work in cold conditions, typically below -40 degrees celsius.
• Driver’s license is compulsory.
