PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for leading and conducting comprehensive audits to ensure robust internal controls, effective risk management, and enhanced operational performance throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, CISA or CA qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ auditing experience
- SAP and FMCG experience advantageous
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, execute and deliver risk‑based internal audits by engaging management to understand business processes, identify risks, assess control effectiveness and recommend improvements aligned to organisational policies.
- Support the development and execution of the annual risk‑based audit plan, including defining audit scope, performing risk assessments, implementing audit programmes and supervising audit team members.
- Perform detailed audit testing, document results, evaluate findings and validate audit issues through engagement with management and review of mitigating controls.
- Compile clear, accurate audit findings and reports, including root causes, risks, recommendations and management action plans, and respond to review feedback from Audit Management.
- Contribute to systems and process improvements by advising management on control enhancements, tracking corrective actions and promoting a strong control environment.
- Drive continuous improvement through collaboration with senior auditors, participation in cross‑functional forums and sharing of best practices.
- Ensure accurate data capture and reporting to support trend analysis, insight generation and informed decision‑making.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, accountability and self‑management by collaborating effectively, meeting deadlines, maintaining quality standards, managing stakeholder expectations and supporting team objectives.
