Role Purpose:

• The Chicken Business is currently recruiting for a Slaughterer to be based at the Chicken Processing Plant in Rustenburg  and the successful incumbent will report to Process Leader.The role will be responsible to provide the services of a Slaughterer and to ensure they comply with the Halaal Standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RSA ID document.
• Minimum Grade 12.
• Registered with the Muslim Judicial Council.

 

Required Experience:

• At least 6-12 months experience slaughtering chicken.
• Previous work experience in poultry processing plant.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
• Inherent requirement of the job – incumbent must be Muslim.
• Physically fit and able to work in dusty conditions.
• Precise cut to jugular vein to be made to ensure maximum bleeding
• Maintaining good housekeeping of the slaughtering area, including the blood pits
• Continuous adherence to the specified hygiene safety standards and legislation
