Our Rainbow Internship Programme is a 12‑month development opportunity designed to give a third‑year student meaningful, hands‑on exposure while completing their qualification requirements. The programme is structured to build practical capability and serve as a feeder into the Management Trainee Programme and selected internal technical roles, based on performance and business needs.

The Rainbow Talent team is looking for a creative, passionate, and motivated self‑starter to join us and make an impact.

Minimum requirements:

  • Currently studying towards/ or completed a relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, in the fields of HR, Industrial Psychology or related fields.
  • Must have less than two years work experience.
  • Must be a South African citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa.
  • Demonstrated strong academic results, particularly in major subjects.
  • 60% and above average.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word, is required.
  • Must be willing to join a 12-month contract with the business

What will this internship entail?

  • Assist with candidate sourcing through job boards, LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and internal talent pools
  • Prepare and post job advertisements on relevant platforms and career portals
  • Screen CVs and conduct initial candidate checks against minimum requirements
  • Assist with pre‑employment checks, including reference checks, qualification verification, and background checks
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and candidate communication
  • Support recruitment budgeting by tracking costs related to advertising, assessments, background checks, and agency spend
  • Provide general recruitment administration support, including filing, data capturing, and document management
  • Support employer branding initiatives such as career days, campus engagement, and recruitment events
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with ad‑hoc HR and recruitment projects as required
