KEY ACTIVITIES

New Installations

  • Assists with installations and ensures the product is operational as per the specifications and compliance
  • Ensures that product appearance reflects the brand 
  • Ensures site fit out is performed to standard and compliance signs are mounted
  • Installs CCTV
  • Conversions and testing the machines onsite
  • Sets up Evolution system
  • Reports back to the Technical Manager on task completion
  • House-keeping

On-site Technical Support

  • Ensures project activities are carried out as per project plan
  • Plans and prioritises time to respond to needs and requests
  • Reports back to Technical Manager on progress and escalates complex issues accordingly
  • Ensures that complaints and disputes are acted upon timeously onsite
  • Provides professional service to clients
  • In some entities, the Junior Technician may be required to:
    • Assist with callouts
    • Assist with technical elements of callouts and/or do the callout under supervision of a Technical Manager, including machine maintenance
    • Carry out basic maintenance at sites, including but not limited to fit outs and installations, refurbishments, painting, electrical work, decommissioning, etc
  • Perform test to ensure that components of LPMs and DLs are set up properly when LPMs or DLs are commissioned or altered

Stock Control

  • Keeps accurate records of spares which have been used  
  • Completes stock usage forms

Compliance

  • Ensures compliance to ICS and ICP
  • Adherence to gambling authority regulations
  • Compliance requirements meet legislative requirements
  • Workshop and gaming area at sites are maintained and cleaned to a standard so that no health and safety issues arise
  • Complies with health and safety regulations
  • Completes the maintenance register accurately and within the required timeframes (in respect of all malfunctions and maintenance performed on LPMs and DLs)
  • Adherence to procedures
  • Ensure that CEMS is updated reflecting any commissioning, alteration or de-commissioning of LPMs at the time of such occurrence
  • Central Electronic Monitoring System
  • Check all SKPs, DLs, data cabling and power cabling are secure and complies with relevant standards
  • Reporting of any CEMS problems
  • Check all variances, test and repair, and return to Finance Department
  • Check main processor units, doors and DLs are secure from tampering
  • Reporting

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 / Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE)
  • Relevant vocational/technical qualification with at least 2-3 years’ relevant experience and/or
  • Relevant vocational/technical with 1-2 years’ experience
  • 2 – 3 years of technical or electrical experience (pending qualification level)
  • Experience in the gaming industry advantageous 
  • Employee Gaming License
  • Driver’s License
  • May be required to work shifts
  • May be required to work weekends and public holidays
  • Ability and willingness to travel between sites
  • Good-sighted
  • Ability to pick up machines and move heavy equipment 
  • Hands on electrical repairs
