The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Management of Broiler Farms processes with the aim of maximizing production and quality
• Management of staff on the farm
• Managing all labour related issues
• Full Control of production processes and responsible for maintaining production standards in terms of quality and volumes
• Implementation and maintaining the 20 keys system.
• Maintaining Risk Control/Occupational Health/Bio Security requirements and standards as per relevant legislation and Astral Standard Operating Practices.
• Control of farm budget and company assets

 

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Matric or Equivalent qualification
• Must be familiar with the Poultry industry
• At least 3 years’ experience in Broiler flock management
• Fluent in English and an additional official language     
• Must be able to work in a highly pressured environment
• Self-motivated and should have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a team environment is a key requirement
• Must be target and deadline driven
• Proven administration ability
• Must be computer literate
• Must have a valid code 08 driver’s license
