Role Purpose:

• Electrical, Mechanical and Civil maintenance and repair of Agriculture related machinery and equipment. 

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Operate and monitor mechanical equipment for daily production needs
• Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or irregularities
• Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for production lines
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
• Carry out routine servicing and repairs to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Support compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and OHS Act requirements
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards
• Contribute to a high-performance, team-oriented culture

Knowledge/Competencies:

• Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (preferably with Maths and Science)
• Technical Qualification: N3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (experience with scales is a plus)
• Trade Test (Mechanical): Advantageous
• Mechanically inclined with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Willing to work shifts and overtime as needed
• Code 8 driver’s license: Advantageous
• Physically fit and capable of working in challenging conditions
• Strong communication skills in English
